Getty Fire Update - October 28

We will determine if school will be open on Tuesday, October 29 no later than 5:30 am tomorrow.
Dear Parents,

We hope that your families are safe from the Getty Fire. At this time, it is unclear whether or not we will have school tomorrow. There are many factors that we must consider including the progress of this fire, the wind, air quality, and road accessibility, as we have many faculty that live in the San Fernando Valley. Thus, we will make a determination no later than 5:30 am tomorrow, Tuesday, October 29. You will be notified by our emergency notification system which includes email, text, and phone; our website will also be updated.

We apologize for the inconvenience, however, we want to make the best possible decision for our school and students. Our administration and staff will continue to work throughout the remainder of today and tomorrow to keep you posted about outreach efforts to families who have been affected by the evacuations. If you are in need of support, please contact Rabbi Feig, Rabbi Guzik or Rabbi Sherman.

The safety of everyone in our community is our first priority. Please be safe at this difficult and unsettling time.

Warmly,
Betty Winn, Interim Head of School
