I have been teaching music at Jewish Day Schools for the past 28 years. I first started teaching music and rhythm to children in Petah Tikvah, Israel. I continued to teach music to children at many different Jewish Day Schools when I came to live in Los Angeles. Finally, in 2005 I found Sinai Akiba Academy and fell in love with the school and the amazing children. I love teaching children; they are my life. My goal is and has always been to teach Hebrew through Jewish songs. As the children grow, so does their repertoire, and by the time they are ready to graduate, they discover that they have expanded their Hebrew vocabulary and knowledge through the songs they have learned. Many of theirHebrew literacy also improves because of their use of Hebrew in song. In addition, I also prepare the different grades for Shabbat programs and assemblies. For these special events, I not only teach the kids songs, but also different dances. I have been teaching the wonderful children of Sinai Akiba Academy for the past 6 years and look forward to many more wonderful years full of music and dance.
