Sessions 3 and 4, continuous: Realistic Fiction/Social Issues

This discussion-based book club will focus on deep analysis of texts chosen by the instructor based on student interests. Ideal for students who want to stay sharp over the summer, make their voices heard, and enjoy both classic and contemporary literature. They will move at a student-based clip, keep one another accountable, and dive into the books' theme, character, plot structure, and social issues. The primary aim will be developing an appreciation for the craft of writing and the mutability of language.
