Emergency Updates

Grade 8 Israel Trip Update

Dear 8th Grade Parents,

Due to the current health risks associated with traveling, particularly with international travel, all upcoming overnight field trips are canceled. This includes the eighth-grade trip to Israel, April 19 through May 3. The health and safety of our students are our top priority, and with the potential for our students and faculty to be subjected to 14-day quarantines, as well as the rapidly changing nature of the Coronavirus, we must limit our students’ and faculty’s exposure to other environments and crowds.

We know this news is incredibly disappointing for our students and families. This was a difficult decision to make, but the wellbeing of our community is always our top priority. We are, however, looking forward to using this as an opportunity to find new ways to engage with our eighth graders and create a memorable and meaningful capstone experience for them during the weeks they would have been in Israel.

All fees paid will be refunded to families no later than May 3, 2020.

We appreciate your understanding and support. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact any of us.

Sincerely,

Irit Eliyahu, Judaic Studies Director
Rabbi Andy Feig, School Rabbi
Geoff Agnor, Middle School Director
Jessica Wacht, Director of School Finance and Operations
Betty Winn, Interim Head of School
