Technology
Sinai Akiba Academy offers a vigorous technology program. Our computer specialists work together to integrate technology into each classroom where students learn a sophisticated array of skills and programs. Throughout our computer curriculum we teach core academic tools, encourage student creativity, and discuss appropriate use of social technologies. In addition we encourage STEM learning through our robotics programs in fourth and seventh grade. Our aim is develop competent users of technology, who are free to express their academic curiosity and creativity, while also showing good judgment. In addition, we run monthly workshops for our teaching staff, ensuring that their technology skills are always up-to-date.
The school maintains a large network of more than 200 computers with both wired and wireless network access. Our recently renovated computer lab features 26 workstations and an interactive Smartboard. In addition, many of our classrooms have been renovated to include projectors, Smartboards, Elmo document cameras, and student workstations. We also have 45 laptops on mobile carts, digital cameras, and green screen production materials that are available for teachers to check out for classroom use.
